AI Financial Advisor ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

• If you use AI features: anonymized financial summaries sent to OpenAI

Data Storage

All your financial data is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework:

• Your data remains on your device by default
• Data is protected by your device's security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
• API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain (encrypted)
• If you delete the app, all local data is permanently removed

iCloud Sync (Pro Feature)

If you subscribe to Pro and enable iCloud Sync:

• Your financial data is synced to your personal iCloud account
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
• We never have access to your iCloud data
• You can disable sync at any time in Settings
• Disabling sync removes data from iCloud but keeps local data

iCloud Sync is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

AI-Powered Features (Pro Feature)

When you use AI advice features, we send anonymized summaries of your financial data to OpenAI's API. This includes:

• Account types and balances (no account numbers)
• Transaction categories and amounts
• Budget and goal information

We never send:

• Your name or personal identifiers
• Bank account numbers
• Specific merchant names
• Location data

Subscriptions and Payments

AI Financial Advisor offers optional Pro subscriptions:

• All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store
• We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information
• Apple handles all billing, receipts, and subscription management
• Your purchase history is stored by Apple, not by us

Payment processing is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

Our app may use the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store - for subscription payments and management
• Apple iCloud - for optional cloud sync (Pro feature)
• OpenAI API - for AI-powered financial advice (Pro feature, requires your own API key)
• Apple Push Notification Service - for reminders and alerts

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data.

Your Rights

• Access: View all your data within the app
• Export: Export your data to CSV or JSON format (Pro feature)
• Delete: Remove any or all data at any time
• Opt-out: Don't use AI features to keep all data local
• Cancel: Cancel your subscription anytime through the App Store

Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:

• App-level passcode protection
• Biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID)

• No server-side storage of your financial data

Data Retention

• Local data is retained until you delete it or uninstall the app
• iCloud data persists in your iCloud account until you delete it
• We do not retain any of your financial data on our servers

Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
